the factory bfg rugged trail tires suck in snow big time had allterrian k/os on all my other trucks and loved the snow traction will the 315s fit with out rubbing?how much is speedo off?:)

On a stock suspension. You may rub alot or you may not rub at all. It just matters how they built your truck and how close they were to mean with the tolerances they were given. Mine rubbed just when i was on an incline and was turning my wheel. My speed is off by about 6 mph at 60. I beleive.

My speedo is off by about the same amount. Tires work fine except I get rubbing if I turn all the way to the lock. (either direction) I'm getting used to it (staying away from full lock, or backing of when I go too far) and it doen't seem to be a big deal. Like the tires a lot. Well worth it. (esp. at $300/set)

tires never rub!!!

mine fit without any rubbing. never rubbed all the offroad driving I did for deer and elk hunting. I even have a grille guard that might have brought down the front. I have pics in my readers rig if you want to see. good luck with the tires.

I have the 2 inch level. . I got that when I got the wheels and tires so I don't know if it would have rubbed or not. My speedo is off by 9. 1% with the 315's

Is the speedo recalibration just a matter of plugging new numbers (revs/mile) into the ECM? Do the parameters go far enough to compensate for 315's?

Cheapest I've found is $117 a piece at tirerack.com I'd be interested if someone knows where i can get the 315s any cheaper.

BTW, I loved the way my factory BFGs handled in the snow and ice. Am i missing something here?

I put the 2" kit on mine right before I had the tires put on-------I dont get any rub now. I also went to the dealer to have him adjust the speedo for the new tires he put in 587 revs/mile which wasnt correct and had him put in 601 and it is right on.

I bought mine from Samsclub at $115 per tire--------cheapest place around here.

I put mine on 2 weeks ago... . no rubbing at all and NO level kit. . totally stock suspension.

My speedo is off by about 5 MPH.

You may want to look at EBAY for tires. Go the the EBAY MOTORS section and do a search for HUMMER and then look in the wheels and tires.

I paid $400 total for all 4 315's that were takeoffs from a new H2 with 20 miles on it. Spent $50 at a local tire store for mounting balancing etc... so $450 got it done.

I'd be curious as to where someone is getting them for $300 a set!!?? Hell I;d buy a set and turn around to sell them for $100 profit.

There was a post here not long ago about a site that is selling H2 wheels and tires for really low prices------I cant remember the name of the company

Anyone out there putting these 315's on aftermarket wheels??? with a slight offset? Also, those of you that they fit without rubbing, do you have mud flaps on? fender flares?

A friend of mine has fender flares, and mud flaps on an '01 with Alcoa look-a-likes and his 285's rub!?! So I'm just curious as to what y'all have on the back side of the wheel well to restrict clearance.

Anyone out there with Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's???? I've got my eye on those so I'm looking for some feedback there too...

thanks!

I'm running 33/12. 50/17 Mickey Thompson MTX. So far they ride very nice. They are a softer tire, so I don't expect to get more than 30K on them. No problems with wheel clearance.

I have flares on mine without rubbing, I had mud flaps also that did not rub. But I removed them because I was not happy with the look that it gave the truck. I am looking for different mud flaps now. I am running the stock rims, I plan on going with aftermrket rims soon and will then put a leveling kit (possibly a full 4 inch lift system) on to compensate for the offset of the new rims.

My readers rig has pics if your interested.

You wont get a whole set for 300... lol 75 dollars per tire... NO tirerack is the cheapest at 117. with everything done at a tireshop the total for everything done was 606 dollars.
