Discount Tire has them for $199 for one tire, ouch. Is there a cheaper place to shop?

My 285x75x16 just look too small after the 2" front lift, I think I got them sold for $75 each with 26,000 miles on them.

Swayse,

those BFG A/T KO's are priced by BFGoodrich. The dealers have a minimum price they cant sell under, and I believe $199 is very close to, or at the minimum on that size. If you look at a Tire Rack AD, they no longer even advertise the A/T KO due to the fact that anyone can buy it at their local shop for the same money and save having to pay for shipping.

This price policy is a major bummer for us customers, but also protects us tire dealers and our margins. There has been no loss of sales in the BFG line since they put the price policy in effect. The BFG A/T was always sold near or at cost due to local competition between tire retailers. I guess once they made their way to the top there was no knocking them off.

Saturn, Bose, Krups... . they all do the same thing. According to the companies, it does not affect sales in a negative way, and keeps the retailer happy.

Sorry to ramble on about this... ...

ps. wait 'till you see the A/T KO hit the market with a camoflage color scheme... they showed it at SEMA this year.

Swayse:

I have the B. F. Goodrich Radial All-
Terrain KO'S (285X75/R/16) on my truck.
I buy them from a large tire company in
Jacksonville, N. C. for $155. 00 each.

If you want a set send me an e-mail
and I will send you the name of the
salesman I deal with at their dealer-
ship.

Take care!

Swayse... The going price is 195-199@ all over the country. . The price is set by BFG. If you are installing on the stock rim, they will rub on the control arm when you make hard parking lot type turns. You will also need to get re-aligned. The re-alignment does not cure the rubbing problem. Not much to worry about. My $. 02

I run 315/75R16's Pathfinder ATRs from America's Tire on my '00 2500. I think they were $125 each and have a 60k treadwear warranty. I wouldn't spend the additional money on the BFGs.

You might check out 4-wheel parts wholesalers 1800-421-1050. the x-mas catologe has BFG but no price but they do have the new pro-comp allterrain at $159. not a bad price. good looking tire!50K warranty also.

Before you order pro comps check the load rateing. It's really low for a big 16. As I remeber it's only about 2400 lbs.

With my utility bed, Alaskan, and both tanks full my rear axel weight is almost 6k. Still trying to decide on a wheel tire combo.

I ordered some from the local tire shop, $198. I sold my BFG AT 285x75x16 with 26,000 miles on them for $75 each, not bad. I should be getting my new tires today, hopefully.

I am pleased with my Pro Comps at about $160 ea. , installed by 4-wheel Parts Unl. Load rating is same as OEM. No tire rub and only required 2" lift in front. Truck now looks level, but does not sag when towing 11,000# travel trailer.

BFG AT 315x75x16, mounted, balanced, and tax, $869. Looks good. I almost fell down the first time I jumped out of the truck, higher than I thought it would be with the 2" inch lift and all.

The 245/75 Goodyears that came on my truck are rated at 3042 lbs. The pro comp 305s are 2225# and the 315s are 2555.

Depends on what you use your truck for, but I cant loose 1500 to 1000 pounds of load rating on the rear axel.
