Ordered a set of 315 70 17 at bfg tires from discount tire direct today :D and they have free shipping till june 1st. 4 tires to my door are 792. 00. Seems like a deal after local tire shops quoted me almost 1100  . There web site is discounttiredirect.com or 800-589 -6789 if any one is interested . For the near 300. 00 savings I can buy a spare and still have 50 . 00 left if one is out of round or something. Im mounting them myself and using the innovative ballance beads 8 oz per tire. Hope they work

Got rid of my 315/75/16's because they were rough and took alot of weight to balance 12oz on one tire. Went to a Goodyear MT/R and they are smooth...

Good luck!

I have had BFG All/Terrain Radials on most of my 4x4 trucks for the last 25+ years. From stock sizes to 35s. In general they have performed well for my uses. A good compromise for mostly street and some off road. I have run across the occasional out of ballance tire that had to be replaced, but generally this showed up quickly and was replaced quickly.

I currently have TWO sets of BFG 315/70R/17 All/Terrain KOs. One set on stock alloy wheels and one set on stock chrome clad wheels. I have not had any problems with either of these sets of 315s. I have had both rotated and ballanced every 6000 miles. It does appear from all of the posts related to BFG 315 problems that maybe BFG has changed something in the makeup or manufacture of this particular tire. I assume that it was designed specifically for the H2 as a stock tire, somewhat like the BFG Rugged Trail for the Dodge.

I have 22,000 miles on the set I bought new. I bought a used set already mounted and ballanced on chrome wheels. These had about 8,000 miles. I have switched to the chrome wheel mounted set and swapped one of the original tires to a 5th chrome wheel for matching spare. I will go to 5 tire rotation when mileage is equal. The used set is as smooth as the new set I originally bought. I would guess that the posted problems are a very small segment of the overall number of tires in use. Just my experiences.

I'm currently running a set of BFG 285's on my 99 and am really pleased with their sturdy construction and off-road behavior. Highway use is another story. They ride rough and are fairly noisy by my standards. Also, I've had them balanced numerous times including road force at Discount Tires and the weight varies from 2-9 ozs. This tells me that their quality control sucks. Toyo M-55's are in my future. Try and get an E-rated tire also. My D-rated Bridgestone A/T's blew at 30,000 miles and did $3200. 00 damage to my truck. Probably my fault for running an underrated tire. There was a recall on these tires for tread separation but I chucked my receipts when purchasing the Goodyears. Costco confirmed that balancing the BFG's can be taxing but they've rarely seen failures. They've just gotta start upgrading their product for better highway manners.

Depends on how you use them - all my BFG TAKOs made it well over the 75k mark. I think they're great tires that last a long time.

You must rotate them regularly, though.

I have a set BFG's 285 75 16 on a set of american racing rims, you should see the weight they had to us to get them to come out right when i bought them min of 14oz and a max of 18 oz on all 4, i said  is that normal? and they said yes the BFG's are not that good anymore, and now 4 years later the belts have all shifted and they are garbage,

3 tire places and on one can get them balanced and there only half worn out. (30,000)

its time for the TOYO's
