Anyone have experience with these tires? They just came out recently to replace the BFG Trac-edge. They look like they will meet my indended uses and the price can't be beat at Costco :)

Thanks, Ken

I got a set of 4 to put on some steel wheels as my winter tires. We had about 8" of snow today & I had to run around quite a bit in it. It was the first time they had been in anything other than a skiff or so. They stop good, hook up well and seem to clean easily. I got them @ Costco. Hopefully they will wear good.

Thanks cullyguy, first user feedback I have been able to find anywhere. Sounds like they are working as intended. These tires are the successor to the BFG trac-edge which were extremely popular in Europe, swiss alps, etc. but are now discontinued. While they had exceptional snow and ice traction they were also 60,000 mi. plus tires. BFG assures me that these are better than the trac-edges although I think the trac-edges looked better. I think I am headed toward getting some but was looking for first hand experience before shelling out the dough for 7 tires (dually truck plus a spare).

Thanks, Ken

You got me curious. How much are they? I'm running Kelly Safaris and they are not very good in snow. My Cooper Discoverers were much better.

I was quoted $108 ea. at Costco. That includes mount, ballance, and road hazzard. Oh yea, that is for 235/85/16.
