Sorry, I do not have the marine part number but maybe one of these may work. Or maybe your local auto store may be able to help, that is if you have a knowledgeable person behind the counter, not one of the 'computer says' ones.

AH19004 Fleetguard Marine. This was in some notes for part #'s that I had laying around for a long time, so I'm hoping thats the right number.

Thanks for the replies. $125 for an airfilter leaves me in sticker shock :--)

RBallard, great site and great idea, now to find an extra 2790 and save the screen...

I buy my 2790 for $32 each from a local Napa. Your about a month too late for me, I just replaced it and threw the old one out. Never thought of but I guess I could save the screens for occasions such as these.

Why bother with a BHAF

I guess I don't quite understand why guys like to use the BHAF in the first place when you can get an AFE for about twice the cost but is cleanable/reusable and flows more and probably filters to a finer micron level? Once the BHAF gets dirty it's into the trash and another $40-$60 for a replacement.

Also, BHAF lovers be aware all BHAFs don't flow equally. As I recall the Fleetguard flows more CFM than Napa's or Baldwin's version but I could be wrong about which one, but I am certain the Fleetguards flow the best of what's available.

Not wanting to start a war here but I am replacing <censored> oiled gauze filter with a paper.

With the <censored> filter my silicon PPM was 37 (!!!!) and when I switched back to the OEM paper the silicon went down to 7PPM.

I live on a dirt road and need the best dust protection I can get.

Tejas, I had the same deal when I had a K&N RE-0880 cone filter. When I pitched it and replaced it with an AFE my silicone numbers went way down and it eliminated the visible dust that accumulated on my intake hose. Like many things in life, not all oiled gauze filters are created equal.

I do agree paper elements generally filter down to finer particles than most oiled gauze filters but I'd take the AFE over paper even when it comes to fine filtering. I live in a very dusty desert area, the "Desert Northwest" ;)
