I have looked all over this forum and can't seem to find it. I remember reading a post about a heat shield for when you are using a BHAF. Anyone recall that or can point me in the right direction?

I have a template in my email that another member emailed me. send an email to me at -- email address removed -- and I will reply with the attachment. It might not be till tonight as im only home for lunch

What thickness of metal are you using for this? i bought some sheetmetal, but it seems too flimsy to work. I am thinking about getting some 1/8 plate to make this out of.

Hay Ben,

Not real sure just yet. I think I may use some heading duct until I can

find some stainless. But other then that not sure yet.

I just got the plans today.

I'm toying with the idea of a "double walled" construction.

Somthing with an air gap in between two pieces of metal

basically.

Let me know how the 1/8 works, I may use it to.

What branch of the service are you in ?

I was in the Air Force for 10 years, Worked on the Minuteman III and

Peacekeeper missiles.

I'm going to get it this weekend and take it to the base to fabricate it there with a torch. I plan on painting it with high temp engine paint and put a nice Cummins logo on it.

I'm in the Air Force as well, stationed at Tyndall. I was a carpenter, welder and mason in civil engineer squadrons, but now I do the disaster preparedness (chem warfare).

Let me know how it turns out.

The Cummins logo! To cool. Great Idea!

I will do that to mine also.

Chem warfare... . Keeps things "interesting" if you know what I mean. LOL!!!!

Considering all of the stuff we have to know for this job, it can be crazy. (HAZMAT, WMD, nerve, blister and blood agents, nukes, homeland defense, etc. )
