do i need one of these? what do they cost? do you just "hook em up" to the intake of the turbo? do you just buy the filter? or do you have to buy a housing, etc? ... . better mileage? feel good item? do you guys have em? do most guys have em?

just curious... .

thanks for any input.

You'll know if you need it or not after you get your gauges. If your egts are too high ,you need it. If your egts are ok ,then its a feelgood item. My stock air filter and exaust (- one kitty) works fine for my lightly bombed truck. I get very low silicon readings in my oil analysis. :D EGTs are no problem:D Some stock items do work. (a few) ;)

You don't need a housing but some guys are running a heat shield to protect from the heat of the turbo, and I'm sure it looks cool too :)

Some have reported that it helped reduce smoke and increase spoolup.
