BHAF questions

How are you guys mounting your BHAF's? Are you just letting them lay on the fender top where the stock box should be? What about the stock box mounting studs? Problems with excess wear on the filter just resting there?



Does anyone make a mount for the BHAF to get it up off of the fender top and shield it from heat?



I'm thinking about a BHAF but was wondering about the above questions. Also what brand/number BHAF is being used out there?

Do a search for Mallory Mount. There are some others who make them and, yes they provied a platform tho mount the BHAF on and somewhat shield the filter from exhaust heat.

low-tech way

I just stuck a piece of foam on the rear airbox stud and padded the A/C tube for the BHAF to rest on. The hood holds it in place, no problems so far.
