"BHAF SAFETY"-support for hose clamp

When I first Put in the BHAF I read a post about Not clamping the turbo Hose clamp to tight as it would distort the filter and suck unfiltered air. One suggestion was to use pvc or a abs plastic sleeve inside the mouth of the filter. I used a 3" abs coupler cut in half (4" outside diameter) The wall thickness is 3/16 thick. The added restriction bothered me. After I added 275's and an EZ it bothered me more. I went by the muffler shop that put on my 4" exhaust and had them cut me a couple stainless

(1-1/2" x 4" x 1/16") sleeves Finished them up a bit on the grinder and... .



It works great with a wall thickness of only 1/16"

I used piece of 4" pipe when I got my 4" exhaust. Cut a section about 2. 5" long and stick it in there.

I drilled a couple of holes through the clamp and filter neck for a #6 sheet metal screw. That way you don't have to over tighten it to keep it from falling off.
