Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) BHAF & Silencer Removal

I added BHAF & removed the silencer last night. I don't notice a lot of difference in the power, but it sounds great. The turbo whistle is noticable, but not nearly as loud as the '99 Powerstroke I used to have.

Yeah, those strokers can make a lot of turbo noise... That BHAF should let you hear that turbo a lot more from under the hood though.

I'd sacrifice a little bit of turbo whistle for the nice, throaty Kenworth/Pete/Big rig sound, rather than have my truck sound like a school bus that was about to rattle apart (and eventually will rattle apart) like the Strokers sound.

Me too. I dropped it off last night at Underwood Tire to get the Farmboysdiesel 4" turbo back exhaust and KDP done. I'm curious to hear it... I'll be going from the factory 3" straight piped exhaust to the 4" with a muffler. It was just too loud in the cab @ 70 mph with the straight pipe.

Farmboysdiesel 4" is on... how is it? we have never installed a Farmboysdiesel 4" before, we sell the mbrp and the afe. the install went good however it was the 1st one we have ever had to weld the bracket for the mount at the transmission. it is not a do-it-you-selfer unless you have a welder. i noticed it did not have a sraight through muffler like the others.
