OK gang, have done some searching on the forums and have been unable to find the answer to the following question:

What are people using for a BHAF on their 92 TD's, and what are the part no's and sources for these filters.

I converted to a K/N last Spring, but upon inspection this Fall, I discovered that there was a slight film of oil on the blades of the turbine, so I did some reading and see that there are many posts regarding this problem. So, I am looking for an alternative. I have read about the "green" filters and the AFE brand. I won't start another discussion about what is best, I just wonder what the group is using for the BHAF.

Thanks,

Tom

Napa pn 2790. Fleetguard pn AH19037, can be had from Cummins or big rig shop. Or that Fleetguard number can be cross referenced at any other medium duty type shop. I use the Fleetguard bhaf, it just sits on the fender liner. I believe there's a site maybe www.fleetfilter.com that sells Wix brand. Use their cross reference feature using the Fleetguard pn. They ship. A cheap insurance or a way to make the filter last longer is an Outwears prefilter. Or 'pantyhose' over the filter. Although I've never used pantyhose, I spent the $25 for an Outerwears prefilter. I might have pics in my RR's.

Alan,

How DO you come up with these references so quickly? Did you get a Steve Austin microprocessor implanted in your brain after a jet crash?? :-laf :-laf

You are the MAN!! Oo.

New Filter

Just ordered a Baldwin PA-2820 for $54 and a Outerwares cover 201085-02 for $30. Next is to kill the KDP and have ordered the kit from Harold in Idaho. In addition, I ordered the 16cm housing from PDR. Looks like I should be doin some wrenchin soon.

Thanks everyone for the prompt and helpful responses.

Tom :)

If anybody has discarded their factory air filter box, I need the cold air duct that goes between the radiator support and the filter box. I've tried the dealer and junk yards, but can't find that silly little piece.
