Hey ya'll,

I had a K&N filter and I would clean & oil it with every oil change. When I looked at it the other day, it was bulged upwards. It had bent under suction from my turbo and I did have some dusting. #@$%!

I fabbed up a way to get a bhaf to go on my truck. It isn't fancy, but works. I had to clear two codes dealing with my air intake sensors, but when I fired her up, I heard a nice whistle!! When I got her on the road, she roared once again!

I do all the maitenence on my truck myself and I am fairly picky about it. I lost my confidence in K&N though. I know some of you love these filters, just be careful with them.

I cleaned it when it was dirty. I always had "blockage" in it

Ive seen this from a K&N on a 5. 7l hemi... ... The truck came with it. When I found it, we threw it in the trash and put a factory air filter back on it.

The only engines I run a K&N on are my ATV'S, I put a water resistant Outerwears on them. That way, when you fill the air filter box full of water/mud, it just suffocates the engine and doesn't hydrolock it. Other than that, I haven't found a good application for a K&N. Just my . 02... ...

I agree with you. I have one on the wifes duranged-o that I will be taking off then blowing up soon!
