OK How does everyone like there? Any negative experiences with it? anyone switch to the BHAF from the K&N 0880? What were your results?

Thanks

Darren

I had the K & sh!tin' N,now have BHAF,Egt's down 100 deg. ,clean hose and turbo now also,as far as turbo noise being quiter,I can't tell,I can still here it pretty good, cool, I'm glad ,I love that noise!:D

I made the move to the 0880 from the stock box. Way to loud for me. :( Went back to the stock box with the K&N filter ... then to the BHAF. EGT went down by 50 degrees, no heat shield. Spool up lots faster. Couldn't believe the difference in spool up, so I plugged the stock box back on ... back to sloooow spool up. No biggie on turbo noise. :)

Forrest,

Is the noise from the BHAF the same or less than the 0880 K&N.

I would venture a guess the BHAF is louder than the stock box, if not then I think I will check into purchaseing a BHAF.

Thanks,

Ron

Ron:

I have had K&n and Amoil in stock box but with lots of extra holes in stock box.

BHAF is quieter then stock box with non-stock filters.

I also lost all the black smoke with the BHAF. It in combination with a 4" Jardine has kept my EGTS below 1400. This is on a stock HX35-12 with #11 slid to get 346HP on a Dynojet.

Pulling hard I can not get over 1200.

So far I have had great results with BHAF. I use the Fleetguard version.

WAY less Ron. The 0880 defeats the new stereo wifie got hubby for birthday. Spool up was great with the 0880, maybe like the BHAF, but the noise was just too much. The BHAF is a little louder than the stock box. My snorkle was missing, so I got some turbo whine, but it seems like the BHAF allows a different, spelled 'better', turbo whine.

apa 2790 $39 or $42 forgot which

fleetguard AH19037 $38

Cummins 3924541 $??

Donaldson ECB15006 $34

Balwin PA2820 $27

Wix #42790

I stupidly placed a relay for my KC's on one of the threaded posts, that used to hold the stock air box down. Seemed like a good location at the time  , now it's in the way of the BHAF. Once I get the relay moved, I should have some good info comparing the K+N RE 0880 to the BHAF.

I noticed maybe 50 degrees lower EGT going from the RE-0880 to the NAPA.

Spoolup is slightly quicker. Less intake & turbo noise.

No more oily turbo intake!
