Anybody done any

Check this out! They tested stock trucks for the big 3. They didn't have a Dodge Cummins with the automatic so that's missing but they had all 3 for the standard test. Interesting reading, sure wish they had an HO with the 48RE but ah well, there's always next year.

It's funny how ford and GM are making these trucks to run empty, like for grocery getting. And that is fine. Look at how quickly the dodge closes the gap when loaded. Just because it ain't to quick empty doesn't mean it can't hold its own towing. Now make that load 30000 and see who slows down the most. I'd bet the cummins would be way ahead of the other two.

Yeah be fun too watch but it be way over legal weight for any of these trucks and we'll never see a test like that. It does illustrate the difference between the low end of the inline 6 to high end of the V8 though, just my opinion of course

will have to say that this test saddened me a great deal, DAMN!! I own two Dodge CTD just bought the second one this week, Mine is a 2001. 5 3500, and hers is a 2002 3500. The Ferd may have won this test, but I will say this i wouldn't trade either one of my two duallys for 5 Power Strokes. that may be disallusened (sp) brand loyalty but I love these CTD.

Gunny:mad:

The only thing I question is the use of an F250 vs. the 3500's of Dodge and Chevy. The Dodge is 739 pounds heavier than the Stroke and 957 pounds heavier than the Duramax. I wouldn't be to disappointed Gunny. These were relatively short disances as well. The trucks are pretty close, given the various differences in configuration.

Those results are so close anyway. All this says to me is that all the brand new trucks in stock form are pretty well equal in performance. Who's counting fractions of a second in performance on a stock truck anyway?

In all humor - no flaming intended:

"I'd still rather push a Dodge than to drive a Ford or Chevy/GMC. And I've pushed a lot of Dodges in my time. "

Read the article. The Dodge weighed in over 700 lbs. heavier than the Ford and almost 1000lbs. heavier than the Chevy.

For having somewhat of a disadvantage, I think the Dodge stacks up pretty good.
