Hey Guy's, New to rams, had Ford's before. I have enjoyed reading everybody's posts and I thought I would share a quick picture of our new truck.

Welcome aboard to the best Cummins forum under the sun. Great looking paint ya got there.

I got two years of free oil changes and planned on keeping it stock. I am going to put a gooseneck hitch in it next week with a in bed wiring harness. That will probably be it. My last ford had a bunch of mods on it and it just meant more up keep.

Check on Ebay I found a few stock sets of Flairs ended up buying a set that came off a black rig they look really nice on my dark blue Ram, and the price was lessthan half a new un painted set would have cost.

Yes I will be installing a B&W gooseneck hitch myself. I will also install a draw tite in bed seven way plug at the same time. On another note I went out in the hills today and put it into 4 wheel drive. Everything worked flawlessly but, on the evic it showed "4X4 lock". Does that mean the rear end locks in four wheel drive?

Thanks

Your window sticker or build sheet will indicate if you have a limited slip differential. But I don't think 4x4 locks the differential. On my 2013, 4x4 low turns off the electronic stability control.

Good choice on the BW. We put a deposit on a 2016 at Dave Smith yesterday and it doesn't have the 5th/goose package. After I saw the cast China parts in the Mopar kit, I'm opting for the BW goose hitch myself. I had BW in my former 04.5 also.

Installing on these newer frames is so much easier than the older ones.

Ya, the biggest deal about installing A BW goose hitch is drilling that monster hole in the bed. 0.25" off and and the cussing commences.

I was sweating when cutting that. But got it almost perfect! Maybe 1/16-1/32 off.

That's a one shot deal. No fixing it if you get it too far off.
