Competition Fair Price to pay

Competition Boost From Twins

:--) Wow, What a day we had. The weather was great and so were the trucks.

I had a blast seeing so many repeat faces and quite a few new ones. I didn't get to talk to anyone as much as I would like to, but somebody had to put that magnet on over and over. I sure tried to make it as fast as possible.

I do not know most of the numbers, but the big dog of the day was our simple farm truck. It is a 97 12v 5spd with some PDR stuff in it.

The top numbers he made: #2 fuel only, no drugs or H2O

Valet mode 393hp 821tq

Full Fuel 651hp 1500+tq (dyno maxed out)

I am proud of the farm truck we brought to the fest. :D :D

Oh yeah, the second high for the day was only about 100hp less.

I would say it was a huge success, great weather a lot of trucks. I cant believe there wasn't even one D-max.

Thanks Bob for making things run smoothly.

Hey Bob, sorry the little white 2wd was 100 hp behind. 560 ain't bad for a single turbo truck, THANKS for heading this up. I do not think we have had that many trucks show up. It turned out to be a great day. Maybe someday I'll grow up and get twins:D :D :D

Hey Bob, sounds like you guys had a great time, I would have loved to be there but I must save the time(leave) and money for M/M, looks like I need to make my way up there sometime so I and we can see what happens when there is no air, I'd be hard pressed to crack that farm truck at that altitude..... good on them!

Jimbo

Congrats, Bob!!

Sorry I missed your run! I was stuck putting in a lawn on the nice day.

It's bad for me to read things like this, because it's enough to make me say "screw the T-rex, bring on the TWINS!"

I am thinking that maybe ATS could whip me up something with the Aurora and a Big Brother.

Thanks for your time and patience. :D

That goes ditto for me Bob thanks for setting it all up and all your hard work!

Kind of feel sorry for the poor Ford guys (well not really), they were all excited to fianally get a truck over 500 hp and then a Dodge does 651 hp, got to to love it!:D

hey bob thanks for your hard work putting the event on. also thanks to the PFI guy's.

so what happened to the d-max trucks???

when is the next time? I know with a pusher pump I will be over 500hp:D :D

for those who have thought about coming out to one of these events, DO IT. A lot of good people and it's just fun even if you don't dyno your truck.

A good day on the rollersOo. Oo.

Thanks to bob and the guys at PFI for all their hard work:D :D

I got off work late and didn't get to see the "farm truck" but don't the torque numbers seem high compared to the HP on this truck? I would expect 1200-1400 ft-lbs with 651 HP not 1500+. All the other trucks' torque numbers for the day were about on par so I don't know what to think? 651 is still a great number for 5000 ft, but I thought I'd see what everyone had to say about this. I suppose 1500+ is possible if he made lots of low end HP and ran out of air on the top end. When is the next Dyno Day? Lookin' forward to getting there on time on the next go around.

Griff

1500+ lb-ft is possible with only 651hp, but it has to happen at low RPM. The math says that peak hp was only at 2280 rpm.

Sounds like someone needs more air:)

Justin

Thanks Bob and all the guys at PFI. I know they stayed later than expected.

This was my first time on a dyno and I had a good time meeting some fellow members and others who just came to watch.

It was good to meet some of the guys going to the tech school in Laramie and talk to them about 1st gen trucks. BTW, I have gained a cresent wrench from one of those guys.

Does anyone have a list of hp & trq numbers for the day?

I know the numbers don't sound right because I questioned it when it ran, but it ran the same torque several times.

It was new software they had that day so I can't explain it.

The papers showed it flatlined at 1500. Either way it is one healthy Dodge, and I am proud of it.

Justin, believe me he is not hurting for air due to the fact that his truck is sporting PDR twins:cool:

The DynoJet while very good at generating reproduce-able numbers from run to run does not fully load up our trucks due to being the inertia type dyno, and thats why in my opinion the numbers are kind of weird.
