Has anybody tried to run a 5" exhaust with a 4" down pipe? Not that worried about the noise, already have a strait exhaust now.

Thanks

Big D

DarrelB,

Is this what you want?

This is Greg "The Muff Man" at Mighty Muffler In Phx Az. . He has done all of my exhaust work for 15+ years. . There is no one better!! IMHO. ;) and the BOMBed 5" muffler with head pipe!

Big D take a look at my sig. click on My Stacks.

Hope you like it's 4" to 5" but could be made with all 5"

Good Luck

Cliff

Mine's 4" up to and through the BD brake, flex 4" after the brake directly to 5" , which goes up through the bed to a 6" stack. Most anything can be done, just depends on how much $$$$ you want to spend. I like the looks of the 5" stacks ,the 6" have a bit more shock value, plus the added benefit of allowing me to use my 6" woodstove chimney brush for the soot removal  ;) :D .

Too funny Scott, better not burn too much of that sticky pine, you'll have a "chimney" fire!

Guys thanks alot, those are some assume lookin stack. Looks like you could stick your head in the 6"er. I think I'm going for the 5" under the bed that DieselPro sells its almost 700 bucks but it comes ready to install on the stock hangers. I cant go with stacks because I would have to loose my tool chest or move it back and then I can't fit my ATV in the bed.

Bigsaint; That 6" stack is toooooo cool:cool:

Thanks again

Big D

I've just ordered the 5 inch exhaust from DieselPro and will have it within a week. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

JHerrlich, I would like to know how your exhaust from diesel pro turns out, I'm thinking of buying the same kit without the muffler let me know how yours sounds.

Thanks

Dig D

Sure, I also ordered mine without the muffler. Maybe I'll try and record it, or something. It should have been shipped on Wednesday, so I'll have it pretty soon.

DarrellB, thanks !!!! Wish my wife thought so, maybe I should put one on her mini van :D . Just came back yesterday from a trip near the big city for my clock spring replacement, 100 F plus outside equals tons of black smoke and a dirty stack. Ended up breaking out the chrome polish and cleaning the stack at 10 pm that night. My wife came out, saw what I was doing and gave me the   look. Gotta love it !

LOL,

Scott, I've been there done that... After I installed The Duals on my truck we left on a trip to NM and I started carrying a Rag in my back pocket and a bottle of polish sat in the console. .

If you want to get some good looks trying asking the wife to polish it while stopped at McDonalds! After all it is on her SIDE! ;)

Good one Kurt !!!! That will be the day when my wife polishes the stack, although she is quite fond of it's anti- tailgater protection. We had some knucklehead really riding my tail as I was approaching the short but steep 17 % grade in town the other night. Poor guy had a soft top, which was off. The outside air was about 98F,you do the math, it wasn't pretty for him.

Let me see?

17% grade + 1,500 RPM aprx + WOT + 5-10 Psi Boost + BullyDog #5's = :D :D :D TOTAL ECLISPE :D :D:D
