So, a little more background... basically I'm trying to keep up with Jones's... well, or maybe the Bob in this case

. I may be going after an '02 Cummins that has been in a rollover accident. The drivetrain is good, and I would plan on using a lot of parts from the '02 on my '91. 5... namely, the NV5600 and associated parts, the Dana 80 disc brake rear, driveshafts, hydroboost braking system, intercooler and piping, etc.
Things are still floating around in my head, but I'm thinking I would just use the Dana 80 rear (3. 55 gears) and keep my Dana 60 front (3. 54). I like the manual hubs on the old Dana 60, and I have already done the suspension on the '91. 5 and don't think I'd see much benefit by trying to fit the coil sprung '02 front end under the truck. However, the benefit of using the '02 front, would be that I could use the '02 transfer case, and the '03 - '06 brakes and calipers are a direct bolt on to the '02 front end.
I do have a U. S. Gear exhaust brake on the truck, but it's not currently functional, as I'm still working on the air system.
I like the wheels I have now, but I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to changing to a larger wheel if I had to.
Check out what this guy is doing... he's working with a GM front Dana 60, but using newer dodge parts for the big brake upgrade. If there's some interest, maybe we could persuade him to have some more brackets cut and welded?
