big hoss with injectors

Will Don'm injectors work with a banks big hoss? Been thinking of putting in aset of mack 1. 6 90 hp. will I need to up grade to a largher turbo ? also what about waste gate up grade. big hoss is nice but I now want real power.

Banks has some features that are not benificial to chages beside they ones they design, over temp defueling for example but that being said yes it will work. My best friend has the Banks package on his 01 and I put a set of 1. 5's in it for him. The temps got a little toasty on the top end but drivable. He dynoed 390 hp and 870 ft/lbs with that setup and a stock airbox. He needs more air.

Would the truck be ok with just the injectors? I guess I should call banks to find out . don't want to screw up a good truck. the gaughes are wired to the big hoss not shure how to cut or which ones tocut .

If he were trying to tow heavy with it and unplugging the box to do so you would have an issue as the gauges are wired through it so you'd loose your monitoring ability. I suspect Banks will be of no help telling you how to bypass this issue. It runs good with the box on but as I said, you'll have to watch the pyro when you're hotrodding it.

Thanks for the help, I'll just call them on the defueling isshue. ether way dm's are going in . after all whats the worst that could happen? I might even get a new transmission out of this shhhh.

If you really want to get after it and not have EGT issues, toss the Banks box and put a Catcher ECM in it, they work great with the 1. 6 Mach's. I just bought them, not installed yet, but everyone tells me it's the hot ticket!!

I've been running DDII's and my big hoss level 5 (120HP) for 8 months now and it is an awesome combo. When I tow heavy I disconnect the pump wire so I don't over temp. If you want the full potential of the combo you could put your pyrometer post turbo so the banks box will not EGT de-fuel. I have put mine there just for dyno runs in the past before the injectors.



There are two different Bis Hoss modules, one pierces the wire and the other doesn't. I have the one that does. It dynoed 689TQ ath ther wheels alone. Trash banks all you want but they do make good SAFE power.

The big Hoss box that I'm running is the 70hp. fuel box. non- adjustable.

Just read the bottom of your reply, I'm not trashing Banks at all . I realy like there stuff but want more safe power.
