I bought mine out of Cabellas for about $35 but have since seen them at chain auto parts stores (Checker) for about $30.



I'm 6' tall and can't come close to reaching the middle of the windshield of my 4x4. I'm kind of a clean windshield freak, daily is not enough So I find this accessory highly useful. Having slipped off of tires and nerf bars in the cleaning attempt, having a firm, stable and broad step is much safer.



However, and as noted in the NW Bomber thread, if you ever try to drive away with this thing on, damage will ensue. I'm thinking about getting something magnetic, like the "numbers" some auto dealer services places put on the roof. I could keep this on the step when not in use, them plop it on the hood when in use. That should be a sufficient reminder to make sure it's clear before take off.

good idea on the magnetic warning device



these steps are sure handy. i carry mine witme evrywhre i go. bunch of the bombers have already purchased these from big k. i however, am the only one who was lucky enuff to recieve one w/ a customized paintjob and graphics. :-laf :-laf :-laf Oo.

get a snap hook and snap your keys to the step. no keys, no start, no driving away... works if you remember to snap the keys on it...
