iPOD Guys,

Low Priced, Decent GPS?

I keep hearing about shortage of oil. Well of cousre they keep cutting back on production to make it look that way.

I wish I could get a transcript of that, one of the big companies bought an independent refineries and planned on demoing it. Cali investigated and they claimed there wasn't enough crude to support it. I guess the oil field in Cali that is estimated to flow 30 more years wasn't enough. Any way the Christian evangelist Pat Robertson's group bought it and planned on running it, secured a $1,000,000 loan to buy crude. The big company that sold the refinery threatened the bank and the line of credit was withdrawn. Pat Robertson predicted $3 a gallon gas in 1995.

Funny thing about the supposed shortage of oil, out here in the oil patch pumpers have a hard time getting oil picked up from the storage tanks at the wells. The truckers tell them that there is no place to go with the oil, all storage facilities are full! And it has been that way since before the hurricanes!

Big Government/environmentalist <-----That's were you need to be looking for answers. The big oil companies simply adapt the the pressures of the market which are being adversely effected by over regulation and taxation. In other words, it is the consumer (you and me) not oil companies who define fuel prices both by demand and by the regulations both on the oil and automotive automotive industries (That would be Capitolism, the life blood and foundation of this nation). Oil companies are making the same profit margin's they made 2 years ago. Time to look in the mirror and except responsibility for the cluster created by environmentalist that we allowed to happen and correct it.

If you believe that the big oil companies did not use this situation to their advantage then I have some land I would love to sell you! Yes supply and demand is a big part of it but if the supply is being limited and the price is being manipulated then what?

Same situation in the fields around midland/odessa TX. All oil storage units were full, last i heard from a local. Just no one wants to refine, or won't.
