what rear str.seat to put in 93?

S. O. S. Anyone- After installing the power wagon injectors and wanting more I got home and undid the cover to my AFC Diaphram and turned the diaphram clockwise from the OEM setting by 45 degrees. Put the cover on and went to start my truck and it cranked for about three seconds without firing then SMOKE FROM UNDER THE HOOD! i JUMPED OUT AND LOOKED AND i MUST HAVE COOKED A RELAY, SOLENOID OR FUSABLE LINK! Beats me. I have lights, power windows, but the truck will not turn over! Is this related to my tweaking? I put the diaphram back to its original setting but I am still unable to start for lack of electrical. Old school if you are out there I could desperately use some advice. I need to drive back to school up in Moscow by Monday and the local shop is going "to try and get to it today" otherwise I'm renting a car to get around. Fortunately no one laughed at me when I had to pull my Dodge into the service station with my wife's Chevy Tahoe!
 
If you had a fair amount of smoke, I would say some wiring has shorted out. Probably burned out a fuse link. They are located beside the air intake heater relays. To find the burned one, just strech each link gently, the one that streches is the damaged link. Before replacing, the short must be found, most likely a grounded out wire, and repaired. You can bridge the link with a test lamp to verify the repair. If however a relay has melted, usualy the case will show signs of melting around the terminals. I have a 92 manual, if you post where the problem is I can probably tell you what hte wiring goes to.

Niel-thanks for the post- the fellas have it in the shop right now and I am going to call and mention this-I think I fried a fusable link when one of the wires was knocked loose while I was working on the pump. thanks for the info and the heads up about thow to chase it down. If the shop dosen't get it in the next hour I will be spending Saturday getting this straightened out. Thanks Again.

Just got in and read your post, Patrick. When and if you are fortunate enough to find a burned wire or link, find the cause of the short. The grid heater and the fuel filter heater suck up some amps... check the wires and harness... Good luck.
 
Thanks so much for your input- I just picked up my truck-the short that cooked my fusable links was caused when I knocked one of my wires off the blade connection and it went to ground. Mechanic found the cooked wires and fixed them with the fusable link type wire and I had already put the wire that caused all this mayhem back on its blade when I was searching for the problem. Thanks Again for help. had they not taken care of this I would have known where to start by everyones help here at the TDR. I think that this is a ggreat brotherhood of cummins enthusiasts and once again am glad to be a a part of so manmy people who look out for each other. Thanks!
