Big Rain In L.a. Wet Inside Of Cab In 3500

I think one of my clearance lights may be leaking due to the forward part of my overhead liner dripping water in my 2004 4500 cab. Does anyone know of a fix for this occurance?

There is a new style gasket... ... ... only available with the new style lights that was designed to fix that issue.

Benn raining here in Sacramento since Sunday night. No leaks so far. I have read somwhere of TSB for the older style lamp.

So, how do you know the difference regarding whether you have the 'old style' lights vrs the 'new style'?

I had this problem with my 04. 5 and had the TSB done, no problems after that. And the 06 has not had this problem so it looks like they may have fixed it.

I installed the new type and they leaked so last spring I carefully applied silicon to all the mating surfaces and screw holes and still have a leak, what do you suggest?

Same problem here. Only saving grace I live in Cali where we get no rain

Look for a cracked lens, especially around the screws. I had hairline cracks in a couple on my 03 and ended up replacing them with a set of the upgraded lights.

Same thing in my 2001 since new. Dealer screwed with it. Leaks sometimes when I first started driving.

I put the 4th gen style lights on with the new gaskets from Genos, No leaks since!
