just came back from first big tow,#20,000 total

combined . This was a 12,000 trailer had 900 miles on truck before start

went from Tenn to Mich about 900 miles

lots of hills in Tenn. could not hold 55 on some of them!?

the 4/11 rear end on my 2WD 03-2500 Quad got hot

about 195 Deg on the outside of the case used a Fluke

infra red Temp Gage also the Turbo showed 1250 Deg on

outside of housing. I think using the OD lock out with the 4/11

is no good as it puts the RPM over 2500 at 55 so lots of VROOM

but less power than OD on and pulling at 1800 rpm. ran 62 MPH

on flat I-75 and we got 15 MPG.

Just a thought. The power curve for the HO CTD shows max power and torque at about 2600 rpm. Perhaps using OD to get the RPM down to 1800 is not the way to go.
