Lost Trailer Running Lights and Dash Lights

RV water supply hoses

Sure has me wondering about going through Wyoming with the 5th wheel. We have been there at Cheyenne traveling North and crossing over to South Dakota with no incidents.

That is the only place I've been where the wx radio channel gives current wind speeds on I80 and I25 from multiple locations. Towing a loaded 5th wheel usually isn't a problem, other than the increased fuel required. Empty travel trailers, otoh, sometimes get a little squirrelly.

Agreed, though when it gets really, really bad I have seen quite a few 5th wheels knocked over from it too. About plowed through the middle of one that laid over in the middle of an overpass when I was a crude oil hauler. Good thing the state trooper that just arrived at the off ramp right before that saw me coming, bailed out his cruiser and waved me off. You couldn't see the napping camper around the bend till it would have been way too late. But this was one of those few and far between weeks of nasty 75-80 mph+ gusting, 50 or so sustained. Big thing to keep in mind if you do have to deal with the wind is going slower will help you keep it under control. Better to get there a little late than not at all.

I believe its called KNOW YOUR LIMITS and stay below the limit.

I didn't like oil its different than gas. Oil is heavy so the compartments weren't as full so in a turn it had space to crawl up the sides and faster than you think your on the side, gas our compartments were pretty full with baffles so a full compartment didn't have much room to slosh around, Diesel being a little heavier than gas still was not as bad as oil

Load the Bunker C to the top ring just below the hatch. It won’t slosh then....I’ve done it...:D:D

Ours were a little different this is an example I can't get the other truck and trailer to load but you get the idea

Oh yeah, i remember them, the oval shaped tanks. Most dangerous ever, have been very popular in Switzerland because of the overall height.
Entirely banned since 15 years now for dangerous goods.

40 metric tons is limit in central europe, makes around 27000 Liters of Fuel if i remember right. 5 axeles needed for it.

Never did any top loading thats before my time Mike. We had top sensors to prevent overfills (Dome outs ) Ive taken some loads to Military Bases that were more than SHALL WE SAY HEAVY? I didn't scale them and let the clutch out, got out and asked if the Government was going to pay the overload tickets when we hit the scales? they said not to worry about entering scales a car will do that for you just keep on going :D

Most of the US chemical tanks are round, many have a rubber liner and no baffles. Those can be a little tricky as well..

or are you talking about on the rear trailer bulkhead where they would bore holes in the tank with a Bronze drill bit to drain them incase of a rollover
