biggest injectors?

I have an '01 ETH/DEE that is mostly stock for now, and I am wondering what the largest injector is that I could run in my setup with an EZ. I also plan on putting twins in it eventually so I think I will have the airflow covered. Is there a point of diminishing returns with big injectors and the EZ? I don't want a comp yet since my truck is still a baby. Simply put, at what point is the EDGE comp. req'd?
 
Ok here is my . 02, skip the EZ, if you are looking for big HP (you stated you will put on twins, so that is a given). Go straight for the drag comp. With an Ez, you can run just about as big of injector as you want (or can tolerate). Basically, the thing to keep in mind when you get some monster shower nozzles is that they smoke alot, even when you are trying to be nice. The EZ does not allow you to easily turn down the smoke levels (you have to go under the hood, take off the end cap and move jumper wires). With the Comp box you can adjust the main power and sub-levels(smoke) from in the cab with the push of a button. For great driveablity and good power i would go with DD supermentals or BUllydog 4s or 5s, you can turn the comp box down/off when driving and crank it up for the power thrills. If you go to this level with twins, you would be extremely pleased. In my opinion anything bigger than the BD 5s are too smokey for daily driving. Dont get me wrong, I like smoke as much as the next dieselhead, but other drivers and the cops do not find it so amuzing. I have a buddy with BD8's, and lets just say he got a nice little letter in the mail from the air resources board about the manners of his truck.



Oh yeah, if you have any pics of your truck post them, i would love to see them. My truck is also a flame red LB quad cab sport, and i want to see what she would look like with stacks:D

If you just get a Comp and do not tap the pump wire you have an EZ with smoke control. When you need more HP just hook up the third wire and voila, instant "FREE" hp. As for the shower heads, anything bigger than 4's for daily driving may be a bit much. Smoke is one thing but there is also driveabilty in poor weather condition. I run 3's and it can smoke pretty good when the comp is on 3 or above in low boost situation.

Depends on what YOU concider "acceptable" smoke levels. Everyone is different, try to attend a meet/rally where you can see just how much some smoke. :)

Come to the meeting Saturday and talk to Clayton about his new injectors... . susposed to be high HP, low smoke, low egt..... sounds too good to be true, but you never know. They are susposed to be 14 holers.....

From that description... . they sound like a set of EDM's. I just ordered a set of the Mach 2's from Rod @ Wildcat for a friend of mine... He got this itch for power so this is what is on order.

An TST Powermax 3,EDM Mach 2's, and a K-45 (KwikKurt ) Turbo. And according to the email I got this morning. . if this dont scratch his itch. . he may step up to a set of twins and bigger EDM's...

I'd call Christian at BD, he's got a deal running on some 8x11 Budda Power injectors that will satisfy 99% of us power hungry types, there course is one bigger but not streetable at all.
