Who knows how to make money betting on sports?

I don't know if you folks have read about this scum bag Bill Maher's remarks on his ABC show Politically Incorrect, but I have just finished off a letter to ABC expressing my immense displeasure and their apparent support of this person.

Take a look for yourself and see if you agree with me.

It goes to show that the enemy not only resides outside this country, but within our own media!

Well it seems that ABC (Disney) has a different take on world events. Peter Jennings saying that Bush doesn't have what it takes and Bill Maher calling the Military cowards. I think we ought to boycot Disney!

This article is from his Tuesday show. I heard on the radio this morning his apology last night (Wednesday) is even worse but didn't see it and have not been able to find any reaction on it.

Anybody out there watch his Wednesday 9/19 show?

I am about sick and tired of ALL the media.

They all talk about how England and Russia got bogged down in Afghanistan. And WOE to us for even considering a war over there.

Think about it.

England 200 years ago. Trying to conquer all the world. A long way from home with those RED uniforms. And trying to fight a "gentleman's" war.

Russia. Pi$$ poor. Soldiers with no heart for the conflict in an Allah forsaken enema injection area of the world. Sand fleas, jack$$es, and camels. Not to mention all the donkeys!

Allah has sure pi$$ed on that part of the world and all the people that inhabit it.

Saw the 9/19 show.

Yeah, I saw Maher's "apology". What a joke. That's about as self-righteous an idiot as there is on the boob tube. He didn't really apologize, but tried to explain what he really meant - right before he went into another attacking tirade. He should be strapped to the front of the lead carrier steaming over there. Then they could use him for recon before the troops go in.

Never forget we are required to wage two wars at this time; One is against the terrorist, the other is against those who are terrified that George Bush will come out of this looking good and therefor way ahead in the next presidential election.

While all the leaders of the liberal and the media must APPEAR to be supporting the administration in this , they are at the same time trying desperately to find subtle (they hope) ways to undermine Bush's role and if that means crippling the country, many of them will pay that price if it might give them the upper hand in the next election.

Watch for them --liberal politicians and the major media-- to regularly try to denigrate Bush and his efforts.

Merryman - you can't use that word denigrate - that word has been known to be offensive. Could cost you!

Everyone talks about the 1st. Amendment guaranteeing the right for free speech and expression.

If someone expressed themselves all over Bill Mahrer's a$$, I doubt that ABC would appeal to the 1st Amendment on your behalf!

It's all about $$. ABC is hearing from listeners and advertisers.

I thought Desert Storm was quite successful too, but it sure didn't help get GH Bush re-elected. Wonder what kind of low life will run against GW Bush? Being from Arkansas I can characterize BC as low life!

GEE Vaughn, YOU must be as familiar with politicians and the media as *I* am (I retired from a newspaper after nearly 40 years in the business... ).

Yer RIGHT on the money!;)

The War wages on, I recon dropping all those Disney stocks may help ABC'S anti AMERICAN & anti President Bush attitude. I have put a channel block on ABC/Disney channels just to remind myself every evening how disgusted I have become.

IMHO

I took Bill M's comment to mean that our leaders, not the military, at the time were afraid,, so the US only sent in cruise missles.

I have nothing but the most respect for our people in and the military.

I by no means got out of it that our military was afraid.

Maybe since I have such respect, the thought and a connection was never made?

But I also very much believe Clinton didn't have the resolve or courage to do the right thing in response. To me he was the coward. What a laugh, he bombed an already bombed out country. . it was like "blowing them back into the stone age"... take a look at how they live... ? it looks like BedRock... The best you can do with the Cruise missles is make the place into BedPepples. We didn't have caves mapped out at the time.

I know the military is much stronger than that and wants direct actions with direct results.

I think Clinton was too busy trying to hide ML under his desk when every one walked in to decide what to do in response to the bombings and he was still smelling the cigar... . he was way to destracted to care.

And while you all are complaining about ABC/Disney, you must have missed the remark by a Disney official I saw today in my local paper. Something to the effect that freedom of speech doesn't include a guarantee of a TV show.

You all sure you are reading everything to do with this incident?

Have to

Nobody has to listen or watch the show. We could always have a local book burning. He can say whatever he wants,he is entitled to his opinion. The same as rightwingers, conservatives, liberals, peacenicks, and our goverment. It is a right that I will defend, even if it offends me. Thats why they call the show Politically incorrect. He took it to the limit that time and at a very inoportune time. We DON'T have to watch it.

His comments were misunderstood

He was talking about the leadership of the country, not the military itself. I believe he leans to the left in his political thinking, so what is really ironic about these statements is that he was talking about Fearless Bill Clinton's leadership ability during the cruise missile attack on the aspirin factory. I think this was blown way out of proportion. Bill Clinton was trying to run a sanitary little war by lobbing cruise missiles, not allowing our bombers to fly below 15000 feet or committing to ground troops. The other irony is the fact that those actions most likely contributed to the terrorist mentality that we are soft. Thanks for the fearless leadership there Slick

John, thats just how I took it,,, and I agree completely with the rest of you comments...

I think bill and hillary should just crawl under a rock and go away. .

I heard where all of the rank and file dims in the house and senate are upset because their "leaders" are asking them to put country above party. Oh the horror!
