Hi has anyone used the GENOSGARAGE billet fuel filter cap? I am looking for a way to hook up a fuel pressure gage and genos has a place on top for this. Looking for feed back or other ways to hook up a gage on a 04. 5 see sig thanks again.

I have installed a good number of these... directly from the machinest. They work great and are the easiest way to attatch fuel pressure gauge on the 3rd Gens.

They sure look purdy, the only thing keeping me from getting one is the fact that you are monitoring the fuel press. pre-filter as opposed to post-filter.

Post filter is the prefered way because it lets you know that the filter is getting restriction or of course the lp is taking a dump.

IMHO. :D

Pardon my ignorance, if applicable, but wouldn't the center of the cap be post-filter? I'm just going off memory of changing my fuel filter and which side was dirty. Didn't look too closely at the plumbing.

I don't know but they are a fleetguard stratapore filter and the center should be post filter. Is there any other way that people have done post filter to monitor. It seems that the eariler years there are banjo bolts to replace from genos but not on the the newer ones. Is this true?

I put a Geno's tapped banjo on the inlet port of my cp3 (Got new sealing washers from Cummins). It worked great, but I didn't use an isolator... . The vibration of the motor was transmitted through the stainless line I used, and the rattle from the gauge was un-bearable. I had to un-do it all. I'm still trying to figure out a better solution. Buy an isolator I guess?

MY 2000 when the HO 505 tq. trucks were produced.

Technically MY 1999 they put out around 1,500 SO (460tq) trucks with the NV too.

I have an isolator, and it still vibrates. I think the solution is to leave some air in the line, or install the banjo bolt on the bottom of the fuel filter housing before the line that goes to the CP3.

I don't have any experience with the cap, but I'm ordering one so I have some additonal insurance when I get my FASS installed. I don't want the plastic cap to crack.
