Size of PTO covers??

What do you guys think gives more hp/mpg ... exhaust or intake?

Can anyone tell me the differences ,advantages or disadvantages of a 1 piece billet sonnax(or whoever but I think they are the only 1 piece) input shaft/drum assembly over a more common 2 piece billet input/drum?

Nobody knows anything? I thought for sure with as many dragracers ,sledpullers and the like that have spent thousands and thousands on their transmissions and the internal components they have chosen carefully that somebody could have at least an opinion.

call Dave Goerend he will tell you the facts. I don't have the billet and after 100k my input went south along with the first drum and some other s##t . now on my 3rd transmission at 222k , I pull heavy and don't think the shafts are worth it if this transmission goes 100k :D :D :D

I was under the impression that Sonnax made almost all the aftermarket stuff. So it didn't matter who you got it from, it was probably a Sonnax piece. Don't know the difference between one piece and two piece (didn't even know they existed) billets. I do know the single billet Sonnax input I have was different from the stock piece. The taper on the stock shaft was non-existant on the billet one. This alone adds much more strength. I believe that is the MAIN benefit of going this route. The shaft is thicker in an area that is prone to breakage.
