I installed a set on the front of my 2WD and am wondering how in the heck anyone was able to get the bushings to pancake out? When I put them in I tightened the top nut down about a half inch then installed the lower bolt. After putting the tire back on and lowering the truck to load up the shock I used a open end wrench on the nut and an allen wrench to hold the rod. I tightened it as much as I could but don't think its as tight as it should be as the rubber bushing is about a 1/8 inch from the end of the metal bushing. Is that normal or do I need to take it somewhere that has more tools than I do? TIA

Maybe???? I looked at the drawing of the top mount in the instructions again and noticed two things. One, the bushings don't appear to be pancaked like the OEM bushings were. Two, there is a small space from the edge of the bushing to the edge of the washer. I've taken the truck out for a couple of short trips over some bumpy dirt roads and didn't notice any funny noises. So maybe I was worried for nothing after all?
