2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Bilstein shock mounting

Hello to all- I recently had Bilstein shocks installed front and rear of my 01 Ram. My question is this: Is the cupped washer on top supposed to be touching the shock tower? I would think there should be some rubber compressed in there somewhere. All replies are appreciated

you are correct, the rubber bushing should be in between, did you get the heavy duty shocks?

The stock mounting hardware should be used again unless they are wasted. Those blistein bushings almost fall through the hole in the shock tower.
