Binocular/Camera

I saw a couple of these combo items while Christmas shopping last year. They were around $50-$60. I don't remember the magnification, and have not seen what kind of distance pictures they take.



Anyone ever use one of these?

boss has one. not a high quality image. and maybe 3x fixed- no zoom.



not for me though. I prefer to lug around my Canon 300d with all the lens'. But I realize thats not for everyone either.

Got one to give as a Christmas present to relatives who are bird watchers. Thought it would be a nice gift, so I tried it out before wrapping it.



Not much of a Zoom and the picture quality was poor. Took it back for my $100 refund.

That's what I thought, but you never know. I can't afford a camera with a really good zoom, so wondered if those things did any good.
