8X32 8x30 8x42 What is the advantage of the 42mm over the 30mm?

We use various kinds on our ship but,



the 42mm will have a wider field of view and what I like most is the amount of light taken in increases giving you a clearer/sharper appearing image.



On the water the FOV is important because sometimes we are looking long distances trying to pick up small targets. The larger lense makes that easier to do. Works the same for hunting, bird watching or anything else.
