Bio-diesel fuel

I'm new to the group and new to Turbo diesels. I am waiting for mine new 2500 Ram deisel to arrive at the dealership. My question is this:

Does anyone use Bio-diesel fuel? What are the pitfalls of this fuel? I have heard lots of talk about bio-diesel being better for the environment, but is it good for your truck engine? It sounds to good to be true, so a light is flashing in my mind that says, "Forget about it".
