Bio Diesel

John Holmes, you must know this guy! Don Bently, who founded Bently Industries in Minden, is now in the bio biz. He's put $1,200,000. 00 into a small proccesing plant, and collects all the cooking oils from the local restaraunts. He's using it on his ranch, and plans to mass market the stuff. This from an article in my local newspaper here in St. George, Utah.

Ah, the sweet smell of cooking oil, wafting about the Carson Valley!!

Ron

:D

Cool, I wonder what it will cost per gallon and if it would be worth the drive down from Moab to stock up on the stuff when it is available. Keep us posted.

Cumminspower

Right now he's getting $3. 00 a gallon, simply because of refining costs. He's working with EPA and DOE to bring the cost down. John Holmes at Carson Dodge should be our front man on this deal, eh? Are you listenening John? You're always the good guy with the good stuff for your customers.

Happy Dad's day, everybody!

Ron

cumminspower, again

Just had a thought: I wonder if the stuff has long shelf life. If so, you have a good point: might be worth the trip with bulk storage tanks to supply ourselves.

I have no clue on the shelf life. If would for sure have to be cheaper for it to be worth the drive for me. I love the idea of bio fuel though and hope some day it's much more common and wide spread.
