Anyone running Biodiesel??

Was fueling up today and about 1/2 full I noticed that my regular station had switched to 20%soy Bio-diesel blend. What should I expect from the bio-diesel.

After doing some searching it looks like it is going to loosen all the muck in my tank and send it to the filter. What should I expect in the sense of mileage? up, down or same? also some of the posts alluded to the fact that the bio-diesel may be bad for rubber fuel line, seals, etc, anyone have any problems.

Anything else to consider or look for??? I run Stanadyne performance in every tank. What about biocide?

My regular station is a high volume station ( local ambulance company fills up about 40rigs aday there) plus they have the best prices in the area, paid 1. 96 today, so I would hate to switch stations.

Thanks for any info.

I've been running B-20 for the past 5k miles or so with no problems.

You should always carry a spare fuel filter, when you make the switch you may need it. IF you have a fuel pressure gauge, you will be able to see if you need to change the filter; because the pressure will be lower and it will drop lower faster.

My engine seems to run smoother and quieter, perhaps a small mileage improvement. (I have not driven the truck without the camper while running B20. ) Biodiesel is said to have very good lubricity and higher cetane, so you won't need to add anything to your fuel to increase the lubricity or cetane. I prefer to use B20 over traditional #2 diesel.

With B20 I would expect mileage to be very close to the same Any higher concentration than B20 and you mileage will start to suffer.
