Biodiesel Help !

diy bio diesel

Owners Manual says No Bio Diesel. What is your take on using it, if it is not good why are they selling it at more vendors?

Been using B50 (cotton seed oil) for three months with no problems. Just runs better with it than it did on diesel. Seems to be quieter, smoother, a little more responsive and my mileage has not changed except that I think it increased a little. The one thing you need to do is change your fuel filter a few times earlier than you have, bio will clean your fuel system. Took two changes to finally get it flushed out.

I think a 5% blend is ok according to mother mopar. I also run B20 about 25% of the time and have had zero problems, and clean fuel filters. I would not worry about running B20 or lower. They are building a new Co-op fuel station near me, so I will be running Biodiesel all the time when they come online. We'll see how it works out.

Check out DFWbiodiesel.com, great info on thier site that's where I have been getting mine. Hey we even have BioWilly, it's peanut oil and Willie Nelson is the spokesman for it. He is trying to get the word out about bio. If you are looking for more lubrication for your fuel system, 1% bio doubles the lubricity of diesel and it has a higher cetane rating as well.

They are selling it a Pacific Pride here and it's to B20. A co-worker is using it in his Furd and he said it runs quieter, smoother and seems to have more power. It's about $. 05 higher than #2 right now. I applied for an account this weeks and got the call that it's been approved so I may give it a try. The jobber said the price will be dropping as more people start using it.
