Biodiesel Pump in NH opens

Biodiesel

hello tdr community. up here in canada, we have just opened our first bio diesel filling station. i have read nothing but wonderful things about this fuel. i still have several questions though. Has anybody had any real world experience with this product? i. e actual cost to fill up and mileage experience? is the power comprable? i am led to believe this fuel will not void the cummins warranty. is this true? any or all who have any experience with this product, could you please share it with me and the tdr community. thank you.

Oren.

Bio Diesel

Page 234 of the '03 Owner's Manual says,

"NOTE: As sufficient testing has not been completed, organically blended diesel fuels (e. g. biodiesel, ethanol, and methanol blends) are not recommended or approved for use with your Cummins Diesel equipped Dodge Ram Truck"

Pretty hard to ignore that strong of a statement. Doesn't come right out and say that it'll void the warrantee but I'd hate to have to argue the point with DC if they said a problem was caused by using biodiesel.

thats funny...

i could have sworn that it was approved for use by cummins themselves... . though i could be mistaken... it has happenned before...

my tank of regular diesel is real low right now, i might fill up at the bio diesel place [tomorrow or weds. ] and see how it runs... it's just pretty much down the road from me. i also hear their regular diesel [which is suppose to be sunoco] is at a pretty good price...
