CI-4 Oil, Where are you guys buying it...

I have been making/running 100% biodiesel for >2 1/2 years with zero problems. I added a 2 micron filter after the 7 micron factory filter using vitron hoses. Got to love the <$0. 75/gal. it cost me.

Cant run it during the winter but runs just fine all spring thru fall.

yup, not recommended to run more than 40% bio in winter. But I don't go to places where/when there is snow on the ground.

I dont take the chance are you running B100? we make ours in warmer times I dont like some of the additive alternatives that are for B100, I wont run them in my motor. Dont know what the weather is there but last nite is was -10, day temp yesterday got all the way up to 26 I THINK THATS JUST A TAD COOL FOR BIO this AM its a BALMY 19 right now looking out the window at the temp dial outside Gee mite have to put on a light sweater then to go dig out an outbuilding in a few minutes

I definitely do not run B100. I usually don't go over B30 and plug my truck in wherever I go, if at all possible. Even a gallon or two would be better than nothing. I try to run some bio in every tank year round rather than all bio in some tanks and none in others.

I am highly jealous of all of that beautiful snow.

Well get your highly jealous BUTT up here and dig!!!!! some of that jealous feeling will go right away. :-laf

Its actually not as bad as it looks I took my NEW ROOF RAZOR and it cleared the roof in about 4 swipes per side and then had to dig the door out and a walk way to it. almost 20 inches in a day and a half. The weather man said NO SNOW JUST RAIN  AND FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT THINK THE EARTH IS WARMING UP * F * YOU!!!!!:D sure glad I put side slide doors on the barn and roll up on the shop. You can take your snow sled down to the airport and drag race for free. And dogs dont help much but when the disapear then you know THERE'S A DEEP SPOT :-laf

As for the point of the post I use Dino Diesel in the winter with Amalgamated winter additive NONE BETTER IMO. In the spring until it gets cold enough to worry about gelling up I run B100 for the past 2 years unless im going to be doing some heavy pulling then I run Dino Diesel I KNOW the Bio wont make the power that the Dino D will and gets just a little less MPG on Bio. BIL has an 03 Dodge and has ran it for the past 5 years no problems he and my FIL run Bio in both their tractors and have had no problems I also run it in my International DT 466 with no problems funny thing with the International the power seems the same Dino or Bio but just a little less on MPG.
