4th Annual Desert Diesel Nationals

Las Vegas Diesel Drag Night

fOUND THIS:A new Community Supported Energy Biodiesel Co-op is now open and accepting members in North Sacramento, extending the availability of this great renewable fuel in the region!

Thanks to site host Larry Butcher, the new co-op is located near the intersection of Interstate 80 and Howe Avenue. If you live in this area or pass by frequently and you've been waiting for a more convenient location to purchase biodiesel, your wait is over!

Larry is already filling tanks with this ASTM-certified B100 biodiesel, the finest quality available. Fillups are by appointment, so contact Larry at -- email address removed -- to get signed up.

If you own a diesel vehicle, now's the time to start supporting this local grassroots sustainable peacefuel movement. It feels good to have a choice and pass by the gas stations knowing you are not supporting the petroleum insanity any longer.

Oo.

Empower yourself! We are the ones we have been waiting for! I know where i'll be if it's cheap enough, i will find out soon enough!

I live in the El Dorado Hills area. I am interested, but need to verify the quality of the stuff. . Secondly, what is the price per gallon?

WOW..jeez

Here's the e-mail the guy wrote back to me today:

Thanks for your interest in Community Supported Energy!!

I operate as a Site Host for the Sacramento Biofuels Network

(www.sacbiofuels.org), a biodiesel buyers coop. We purchase

commercially-produced, ASTM-certified, B100 (100% biodiesel; 0%

petrodiesel). Membership entails a $35. 00 fee (refundable if you choose to

leave), to cover a share (5%) of infrastructure (tank, pump, etc. ) costs.

Our fuel is currently supplied by Yokayo Biofuels in Ukiah (ybiofuels.org),

and the price per gallon is currently $3. 45 per gallon (this price includes

all fed/state taxes & applicable delivery charges). This price may

occasionally fluctuate, based on the cost of the current fuel delivery.

There is no markup on the fuel price by the coop. There is also a

$0. 05/gallon service charge to cover minor maintenance at the site (pump

filter replacement, etc. ). I operate out of my house in the Arden Arcade

area of Sacramento, near Arden Fair mall. The pump is metered. I made the

decision to operate this site solely to make biodiesel more available in the

Sacramento area. Since the coop operates from my home garage, fueling times

are limited to Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (5:30-8-:30), or by

appointment if necessary. The coop also offers one time or trial fill-ups

for travelers or people who would like to test out the fuel before

committing to membership ($3. 00 fee for non-members).

$3. 45!!. . i'll wait on it for now. . If this price STILL depends on getting it shipped to this guy's house, then it'll never be a true savings over regular diesel correct?

that is about 10 minutes from my house... ... ...

to bad my new work schedule starting next week will prevent me from using this stuff.

I will be working from 1500hrs to 0130 hrs Monday -Thursday.

I would have experimented with a few tankfuls in the Benz to check it out.

oh well.....

THE FORD GUY Oo. Oo. Oo.

and recently added a 300D to the stable

Wow, sounded promising until I read the guy's e-mail. Bummer. Wonder what his neighbors are gonna say if trucks are pulling in all the time?

If I were you guys, I'd test this stuff first.

Read up on the 3/27 test, and the shake em up test. I got ripped off for $300 worth of Bad Biodiesel in the SF Bay area. The stuff was absolute sludge. I tested after the fact and found that the BD was under processed, not filter to the claimed 1 micron, and appeared to have been 1/2 biodiesel and 1/2 unreacted and unfiltered waste veggie oil.
