Bio Diesel...

another biodiesel thread

Nice reply!

Joe Biodiesel, I was just getting ready to respond to some of the replies made here. You got it straightened out though. I don't understand some of the additudes about bio-diesel. Some people are afraid their friends will think they're tree huggers or something. Weird!

I can't find it locally... but would use it in a heart-beat if I could. Just a small percentage of bio-diesel (2% ?) will increase the lubricity of the fuel by 60%... ... it's something like that anyway.

Those of us with a VP 44 pump would do well to put in a small percentage of some lubricant just to keep the pump alive.

Stop sweating over the fact that it comes from plants guy's. Jeees... . do you really like the big oil companies that much. I'm gonna stick it to um any chance I get... . you know. . like they've been doing to us!

Bio-diesel comes mainly from an over supply of soybeans or rapeseed. If that can be turned into diesel fuel... I'm all for it.

Try a little or find a station selling B5 or B20 (5% and 20%). You'll never know it's in there... . but you're pump will love it.

Personally, I'd rather see my money go to people at home (farmers) than to support Saudi Oil barons that fund schools to train kids to kill infidels. I'd be interested in seeing what the long-term effects of good biodiesel would be on injectors, engine wear , etc.

I'm running B20 in my truck - runs great. Our local biodiesel station gets all their grease from local resurants. Pretty cool.

last fill-up was $1. 92/gal

Anything that reduces our dependance on mid-east oil.
