Just a question for you really smart guys out there. Has anyone out there ever thought about putting a finger print reader like what comes on laptop computers on their ignition to help with security? Is it possible? I tried to look up biometrecs but there was nothing. Thanks in advance.

well the quick awenser is yes you could trick is how. im sure it could be wired up in a simple circut that would flip a switch. thing is you need the computer for the bio part of it

It is quite possible, but wouldn't be cheap. You would have to have a finger print reader/computer to recognize the finger print. Than you would have to wire it like any other switch. There are easier, and cheaper, ways to give yourself added security

And then you fall down and hurt yourself badly and wife/gf has to drive you to the clinic in your truck and she keeps trying to lift you up far enough to push your finger on the keypad, but you just keep slipping back down to the shop floor :-laf :-laf
