Yeah, I got a harmonic growl from mine. I just installed it a couple weeks ago. I hate the noise. I think it doubled the noise in the cab.

I think I am going to try to somehow mount it on rubber. maybe it will squelsh the vibration.

Yes there is another Amsoil "by-pass". It is the BMK-11, which is a "single" mount that is designed to use any of the 3 by-pass elements. The OEM filter stays in its original location, and the BMK-11 is connected to the oil system using 1/4" ID hoses. These hoses (lines) are then attached to "ports" in the existing oil system to allow the oil to flow at a very low flow rate. (about 6 quarts every 5 minutes @ 40 PSI)

In reality, the by-pass is connected in "parallel" to the main flow of oil in the system.

OK, with the BMK11, do you have the same benefits (not having to change the oil, as long as the oil samples come back OK),and just changing the oil filters at approx. every 25000 miles?

What are the benefits of having one system verses the other?

TIA

TIA,

The biggest difference between the BMK-15 (duel-remote) and the BMK-11 (single remote) is the duel-remote places Both filters in the same location.

Each of these two filtration packages will filter the oil the same!

Hope this helps,

I wonder if Amsoil would be willing to trade my BMK15 for a BMK11, for not to much difference, to keep a customer happy. I think it would be easier to mount the single filter in a place that would not allow the noise to travel through the frame.
