I wonder if anyone has had this problem
We haven't had any robins in my neighbor for at least years and years. They have been coming around just last and now this year. (Not as many crows as we used to have)
Maybe a month ago, I notice some bird poop on the back of the passenger side view mirror. At first I thought it was just in a flight path and was getting bombed from the air. But then I realized that a bird had been landing on the mirror and "fighting" with the "bird" in the reflection. (Not sure if it was the reflection of the mirror in the window, or if he hangs his head over the top of the mirror and looks down)
Anyway, my solution was to tie a plastic grocery bag (now on both sides) over the mirror. It works very well, and I get no bird poop when I do this. I thought that maybe they would move on. But if I leave the bag off the mirror, I get hit again.
As I say, the plastic bag solution works very well, but it is a pain in the ***. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and has solved it in a different way. I thought about putting a piece of cardboard in the window, or a picture of a hawk. Any ideas that are tried and true ?
