I have seen about 10 RAMs in the past 3 weeks with a flat black grill. I am talking about the square with the plus on it that holds the honey comb.

Instead of it being chrome plastic... It is flat black. It really sets the truck off nice.

I went to the dealer to ask about it and was told that they can ONLY access parts and part numbers using my VIN. That I had to get a VIN off one of those trucks to get the grill part number.

Told the dealer that was the stupidest thing I had ever heard.

So basically... I need a VIN or Part number of that grill... If anyone of you have this or have seen it.

Let me know... Thanks.

I did the same for my 2002. With the black rims and fender flares my dark blue truck looks "bad a$$". The dealers gave me the same BS when I was looking, so here is the VIN of my 2004 ST company truck 3D7KU26C04G235354.

With the black grille, no more worries about the chrome peeling and bubbling...

Would look nice to paint it the body color...

You got a bad parts guy... ... If he/she wanted to take the time to find it they could have no problem. The guy i deal with would have done it in a second.....

Nothing burns me more than a lazy $0B who cant or wont do thier job even 1/2 @$$ed. If you have another dealer close i would deal with them.

I have been wanting to trade my chrome one with someone with an ST black one, but have thus far been unsuccessful. The Dodge online OEM parts catalog lists the part as an "Argent" grille surround... $169. 26. The chrome one is actually CHEAPER ($140. 40), so they must know the black is more desireable.
