Black Plastic Tailgate Trim

Has anyone removed the black trim that covers the bottom part of the tailgate? How easy was it to take off? Anyone want to sell theres?

I believe it's just held on with double sided tape so it shouldnt be too difficult to remove. I'm keeping mine, but it is a PITA when you get wax on it.

I doubt anyone has removed theirs because it is very hard to remove it without it getting creased and turning white in some spots.

I have been thinking of removeing mine but when I took off my decals you can see that the paint has already faded so i think it would look bad.

I had to remove mine to put it on a new tailgate, because I smashed the original. A friend of mine who runs a body shop took it off for me using a piece of piano wire. He got it started under one corner and worked it across. Take care not to cut into the underside of the plastic with the wire. I cleaned the back side with a lable remover (xylene), put fresh tape on and stuck it to my new tailgate.
