Black PVC sewer pipe strength?

I have already made a few spud scuds... ... ... . but I am wanting to kick it up a notch and make a pumpkin chunkin cannon. I won't be using flamables on the pumpkin cannon, but I want to put about 125 psi of air pressure on it. Am I looking at death here????? I am talking about 1 foot in diameter pvc.

At lot of pipe has a PSI rating already printed on it.

As in the diesel world, you could use almost anything as long as you keep the peak cylinder pressure under control.

Hmmm. Air-only. 125 PSI should be OK, but you might need a 3" or bigger line to get enough air into the cylinder: if the tube is 3' long, you'll need to move air at at least 300 CFM, if not faster. Seems you'll need a large air tank connected to the launch tube via a 3" line with a ball valve. Bring the air tank up to 150 PSI. Load a punkin and open the valve. Close the valve when the punkin appears.
