Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Black Smoke

Hi all, Just a quick question. when I pull away from a stop under hard acceleration I blow black smoke out the exhaust. Is tht normal? if not what is the cause? and how do I fix it?

Normal. You could try changing your air filter if you feel its excessive.
