Just get aluminum wheels and drive around in northern winter road ice melter for a while. Turned my wheels black in just a month. ;)

do you mean like mag wheels or just steel wheels... if you take the hubcaps off and paint the steel wheels, there you go. If you mean mag/rim style... don't think so.

A friend of mine who wanted the stealth look had his favorite set of aluminum wheels powdercoated,,Tough and will not chip at all if done correctly,,Asked my powdercoat place about it for you and she conveyed to me the best wheeels to do this with are steel or a unfinished aluminum(not clear coated),,Best deal for you.....

Mine's a 3/4 ton. Do you know what the wheels cost apiece? My truck is driftwood, but I work off-road and am tired of looking at the muddy chrome wheels. I figure black wheels wont look so bad dirty, and they might even give the truck a bit more attitude.

If the prices are reasonable I'll probably get the American wheels.

Thanks for everybodys help!

Black rims will show MORE road dust and less hide the brake dust.

Just look at a black truck versus a white or silver truck after a ride down a dusty road. The black will show everything but the darker brake dust from the front rotors.

Good luck.
