Converting 4BT into a W150

Is the best way to get the fuel up to the injectors simply to crack the nut on top of the injectors and use the pump on the side of the motor to get the fuel to them. Do I start in the front and work my way back or does it even matter?

Crack the top nuts loose on all the injectors, hold full throttle, spin it over. When you fuel spraying out of 3 or 4, tighten them all up. Should start right up. You may have to give it a little throttle, but not much. Piece of cake!

Good luck! ;)

The fastest I have found on my 6bt truck is to back off the nut 1/2 turn on all of the injectors. Then crank over the engine until there are no bubbles left coming out of the injector lines. As you are cranking, start to tighten down the nuts and the engine should start to run on the cylinder that you just cranked down.

Thats kinda the SOP for most diesel engines I have worked on.

I dont know if you've already done it, but you'll need to prime from the tank to the IP first. Loosten the the return line and prime with the lift pump till you get no more air. Retighten the return then do as the previous posters wrote. If you did this already then ignore this.
